The April 2017 issue of ABTA Magazine is now available online, with the print version sent to all members and subscribers. This month, the inspiring cover story focuses on the vibrant island of Cuba and what it has to offer beyond its capital, Havana.

As usual, ABTA Magazine ensures its readers are well-informed when it comes to the ever-changing travel industry, with cutting-edge analysis and reports — this issue, on the increasingly popular trends in wedding and honeymoon travel, and the future of luxury cruise.

The new issue also offers readers a chance to take a road trip through rural Australia in our Travelogue, study the long-running guided holidays specialists, Trafalgar, and spend 48 hours in the charming oceanfront city of Durban.

In a bid to highlight the importance of travel on day-to-day life, editor Jo Fletcher-Cross quotes the writer Mark Twain: “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness.”

“Travel might sometimes feel frivolous — and often it should be — but to encourage and facilitate people to see the world isn’t just a job, it’s something more vital,” Jo adds.
